The Basset Hound is currently #39 and came up from #41 on the AKC 's Most Popular Dog Breed List of 2015. Bassets make a great family dog and when used for Hunting they mostly hunt Rabbit.They need regular exercise so a good walk is in order. They have a short coat so care is pretty easy. Do not over feed them and they are a pretty healthy dog.
